In the spirit of 80’s

Hello fellow Blogreaders!

On the Women’s Day (not intentionally :)) together with Kasia ‘Daedra’ Mikołajczak we organised a photo shoot loosely inspired by the 80s – more in case of the lighting rather than the stylization. The whole lighting effect, including the “stars” in the background, was achieved already in the camera. As usually, a full description can be found at the end of this post.

Technical stuff:

This session was one of the first few that I’ve done in a brand new Gwiazda studio. Thanks to a very large space, I was able to build a set that required 7m distance between the lights in the background and the model, and another 7 metres between the model and the camera. I was shooting with a full frame Canon 6d with Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM lens, and the aperture f16 in order to get lights in stars shapes. Against a wall there were system flashes, placed on different hights and pointed directly to the model’s back. The model herself was illuminated with a beauty dish (diameter 70cm) with a grid.
